College Scholarships for Hispanic and Latino Students

The Hispanic and Latino population is the fastest-growing minority group in the United States, yet they don’t always get the recognition they deserve. Their rich culture is all too often overlooked. However, recently there has be a more active push to get more young people into colleges, culminating with scholarships specifically for Hispanic and Latino youth. Here are some of the ones you should know about.

Hispanic National Salute Scholarship

Available to: College Freshmen
Award Amount: $2,000

Students graduating from a high school in Colorado with at least a 2.5 grade point average are eligible.

HACU-IES Abroad Scholarship

Deadline: October 25, 2015
Available to: College Freshmen through College Seniors

This Hispanic Association of Colleges & Universities awards $5,000 to select students who are enrolled in one of the schools served by the organization.

Gates Millennium Scholars (GMS) Program
