For generations, cursive writing was a standard of nationwide school curriculum. However, in recent years, it has all but disappeared. In fact, the majority of schools in the U.S. have completely cut it out of a child’s education. Still, there is a case to be made for its importance.
Cursive writing has been around for centuries, meaning many documents throughout history were written in cursive. If we as a people strike it from the collective knowledge, we will have no way to access that information. Reading historical documents loses its grandeur when you aren’t able to read it in its original form.
