Should You Send Out College Graduation Announcements?

In short, if you want family and friends to send you money and gifts, then yes, you should send out college graduation announcements.

When you graduate from high school, getting senior pictures taken and sending out graduation announcements is pretty much the norm. However, that traditional process becomes a little less common when graduating from college. This is likely because by the time most students finish college, they’re just ready to get graduation over with and begin their careers. It’s a busy, stressful time, and for a lot of students, graduation announcements are the last things on their minds.

However, sending out college graduation announcements is a great way to get a head start on that career. By letting relatives and family friends know that you’re graduating, you never know what kind of professional contacts they could send your way. Your graduation announcements could be a great way to network – and the money and gifts don’t hurt either.
